Here are the many things

That I could give a flying f*ck about

Rhianna and Chris Brown - two people who are too young with too much money

Swine Flu - if it gets you it gets you

Lindsay Lohan - she's just sad and lost

People complaining about taxes - I would rather my tax money go to "socialist" causes than a pointless war without an end

American Idol - Please, Jesus, make it stop. It is like a bad penny. It just keeps coming back

Twitter - get on it or don't, but quit talking about it like it is the second coming

Alright, I am feeling a bit like Eeyore, so I best get myself to bed.

I thought you knew me

If one more person sends me emails containing false information about Barack Obama I am going to block each and every sender. Do I look like an idiot? Why would people blindly believe this propaganda any more than they believe that Bill Gates is going to give them 1000s of dollars? If you want to learn more about a candidate then try doing a little research on your own and quit relying on emails that have orginated from NO ONE YOU KNOW. And if you are one of the people that is spreading this information...then shame on you.

What do you think?

FYI

I believe everyone should make their own decisions about politics. That is why I hate to hear celebrities talking about what is right or wrong and spreading their general self-righteousness to the masses...

with that said (and as I am not a celebrity)...

I would like to note that possible and probable presidential candidate Fred Thompson (from my home state Tennessee) has declared that he would support a constitutional ban on gay marriage and actively try to overturn Roe v. Wade if elected president. Do with this information what you will, but I would like people to be informed.

On another note,

I love reading stories about old people kicking ass and taking names. You know what I mean, those blurbs on cnn.com about 105 yr. old woman who took out a burglar or the latest about an 82 yr. old who stabbed a would-be attacker with an ice-pick. Serves the scumbag right.

Optimism

Generally, I don't discuss politics too often on this blog, but the recent elections have inspired me. I am hopeful about our political situation for the first time in several years. Due to our recent election, the Democrats have taken control of some of our political future. Do I align myself strictly with Democrats? No. Republicans? No. Do I think something is severely wrong with how things have been going lately? Yes. I think it is time for change and a party shake-up is just what we needed. Can't wait 'til the presidential election!
