Wouldn't it be nice if

We actually did what we said we were going to do? I am talking about when people get together and say "we should get together for lunch." Everyone always says "definitely, I'll call you." I guess it's better than "Hell no! I'd rather have a root canal." Why do we do this? Is it because we don't want to hurt people's feelings? That we really intend on going, but it slips our mind? You don't actually want to be the one that puts themselves out there? Hmmm. I do the same thing, I guess I'm just curious to hear what you think.

I think we suggest it/ agree to it because it sounds good in theory. But we're creatures of habit so it's hard to slip something in that's out of the routine.

i really DO want to meet for lunch when i bring it up, but it is really hard to get everyone together unless it is a special event -- wedding, birthday, reunion, or leaving the country :-)

want to come to Germany?

I think Sarah said it best...it always sounds good but in reality its the last thing to make happen.
and yes, I dont like being rude and saying NO however the more tired I become, the shorter my kindness goes
(ask me on a good day)
