Note to Self

It turns out that cats do NOT enjoy wearing a dog collar just below their front paws and put on a leash. Apparently, when you do this they will jump around like a show-monkey. It also turns out that you might laugh so hard you have an aneurysm.

Another embarassing tidbit I shouldn't share

Fabby, the kitty, will sometimes come into my room and try to hide from Teddy so she can pounce on him. Do you know what she uses to hide behind? My bra. It is an undergarment that has some shaping to it so the cups stand up - if tossed on the floor in the right way. The sad part is that it does a pretty good job of hiding her. I guess I should look and see if they have camo versions available in some sort of grey color.

Tiny pieces of plastic from nowhere

As any regular reader knows, I have trouble sleeping. Sometimes it is just a problem getting to sleep, sometimes staying asleep, or just being disturbed by things while trying to sleep. Teddy and Fabby do their part in keeping me up, but Fabby has a particular ability to annoy the sh*t out of me in the wee hours of the morn.

Usually it is around 6:30 or 7:30 am and I am sleeping and I become aware of a crinkling noise. It usually takes me a minute or two to figure out that it is Fabby sitting on top of or batting about a piece of plastic. Maybe it is the wrapper off of my water bottle or a bag from Books-A-Million. Regardless of its origin, Fabby thinks it's fabulous. My reaction is varied. Sometimes I just say "quit, Fabby!" which if you have a cat you know has absolutely no effect. If she is within sight, I throw something near her. She usually runs off and returns within moments. Other times I shoo her out of the room and close the door. This does not make her happy and she usually yowls at the door - I am thinking "yowl" is the best word for what sounds come from her mouth. Either way, my sleep is disturbed and I probably lose a good 30 minutes to an hour to this spectacle each time.

My question is where is the plastic comeing from? Sometimes I think she has a stash of plastic hidden and just pulls it out piece by piece just to f*ck with me. You know what the ironic thing is? It's working. She is playing me like a fiddle. I am just a puppet in her plastic filled world.

A couple of other shots

Fabbi is fascinated with Teddy's food, which is not a very popular development with The Prince. She doesn't want to eat it, just lick it and bat it around a little. I tried to get them closer, but this might give you a better perspective of Fabbi's size.

New Addition to the family....

Presenting Fabbi (sounds like shabby) Louise G. (roommies kitten). I have decided to call her Bad Kitty or BK for short. She is a handful to say the least. I included the picture of Teddy because he's cute and I don't want him to feel left out. I would say he is tolerating her presence for the most part. Sometimes he even plays with her, but when she tries to eat his food he becomes a little less congenial. We have had her for about a week and a half and she has just settled right in. The roommie and I both have scratches from her very sharp nails and we have to close our doors at night so that the "cat that never sleeps" can roam and leave us in peace. Oh, and in case you are wondering, we have cleaned most of the house of Christmas stuff, aside from a few trees :). Fabbi will fit right in because she loves the holiday season like we do. Right now she is batting around several of the ornaments. Well, enjoy the pics, I am going to go apply some neosporin to my wounds.
